In this video, I give a quick demo of the Black Widow Professional Shop Kit from Discount Ramps. Make sure to check out last weeks unboxing video.

Again, just want to take a second and thank Discount Ramps for sponsoring HTMR! This shop kit is going to make my life a lot easier, not to mention filming videos for you guys.

The shop kit comes with 8 pieces, so let me give a quick overview of each one.

The Lift Table

Let’s start by talking about the lift table, which is probably the best piece of equipment that comes in this shop kit. It is air operated, and can lift 1500 lbs!  It also has a rear drop out panel for easy wheel removal. Now, this is the second lift in my garage, and will say that acquiring a lift has been one of the best upgrades/additions to the garage for working on motorcycles.

Tie Downs & Soft Loops

Two cam buckle and two ratcheting type tie downs are provided so you can secure your motorcycle to the lift table. Four soft loops also come with the kit to prevent scratching any finishes.

Scissor Jack

This jack is used to lift the front of rear wheel of the motorcycle in order to have it removed through the drop out panel. It comes with several adapters/posts to accommodate a wide variety of frames.

Shop Seat

The shop seat has a gas shock, and is adjustable in height. The seat also swivels. The base is made of metal, so storing tools or resting your foot on it should be no issue at all. This seat, along with the lift table, will make it super comfortable to work on your motorcycle.

Motorcycle Dolly

If you have to make a 100 point turn in order to store your motorcycle in that special little spot in your garage, then you will appreciate this dolly. The dolly makes it easy to maneuver your motorcycle into tight spaces without much effort.

Tire Bead Breaker

Where was this tool when I needed it a few months ago? This tool “breaks the tire bead” off the rim, so then you can proceed to remove the tire. I will demo this tool at a later time, I didn’t have any wheels at the time.

Truing & Balancing Stand

This stand is useful for balancing your wheel and truing spoke wheel sets. I will demo this tool at a later time, I didn’t have any wheels at the time.

Battery Tender

Every battery that is not used at least weekly, should be hooked up to a “battery maintainer” such as this one. This device “trickle chargers” the battery so that it is ready to go when you decide to take your motorcycle for a ride. It comes with both alligator clip & ring terminal harness for permanent install on your motorcycle.

LED Shop Light

The last thing the kit comes with is a rechargable LED light. It comes with both AC and 12V adapters to recharge it.
